James Lucie received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and a MBA from Bryant University. Since graduating he has gained experience as a Project Engineer and Manager working for Ingersoll-Rand in the pulp and paper industry; as a Plant Manager for Cold Chain Technologies; as a Facility and Engineering Manager for Celldex (formally AVANT) and Senior Facility Engineer for Alkermes. Currently he is working for AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Sr. Material Control Manager.
Since joining AMAG in August 2005 he has been responsible for the procurement of raw materials, inventory management of production material, drug substance and drug product. He is also responsible for the labeling, packaging and distribution of both commercial and clinical products. Currently AMAG has US approval for Feraheme™ and is conducting several phase 3 global clinical trials to expand the label and sales territories.
